Indications:

clinical features of chronic pancreatitis are usually difficult to ascertain in the begining but relapsing upper abdominal pain which radiates to the back and the pain is relieved by bending forward or by lying prone. The pain also increases usually 2-3 hours after meals with High serum amylase during pains.  Early stage symptoms comprise of intolerance to sweet foods. Incase of severe damage to the pancreas steatorrhoea, undigested food particles in stool and large quantity of stools are commonly found.

The differential diagnosis of Pancrititis includes stomach, intestinal, hepatic or gallbladder involvement must be made since the above metioned symptoms can mimic any of those illnesses. Left hypo gastric pain is typical of chronic pancreatitis. Violent upper abdominal pain, however is a diagnostic symptom of acute pancreatitis.

The ingredients contained in Dr.Sirkhot’s S#33 Drops very effectively cover the symptoms of Acute as well as chronic pancreatitis:

Dosage :

In pancreatitis and diseases of the pancreas: 20 drops in some water 3 times daily.

Recommendations :

Ill-defined upper abdominal pain and gastric symptoms, Acid dyspepsia: give additionally S#4 Drops 3 times daily.

Hepatic and gallbladder symptoms: give additionally S#27 Drops 3 times daily.

In diabetics it is recommended to use S#9 additionally with S#33.
