What is homoeopathy?
Homoeopathy is most scientific system of medicine which stimulates the body to heal itself. It is based on the principle of ‘like cures like.


What are the sources of Homoeopathic drugs ?
The homoeopathic medicines are prepared from natural sources. Majority of the medicines have their origin from the vegetable kingdom, some are prepared from chemicals, minerals, animal kingdom, nosodes and some body secretion such as the hormones etc.


Do Homoeopathic Medicines contains steroids?
Homoeopathic Dilutions and Mother tinctures do not contain any steroids but because Dilutions are often administered in lactose powder (sugar of milk) as a medium & the commonly used test for checking for steroids is lactose sensitive, Hence test comes false positive.

Are Homoeopathic treatments longer and habit forming?
The duration of the treatment depends on chronicity of the problems. So for the chronic problems longer treatment is needed. And acute problems do not need very long treatment.
Homoeopathic Medicines, even if taken for longer time do not produce any drug dependency, As Homoeopathic Medicines are used in very minute quantity.

Do Homoeopathic Medicines have sedative effects?
Homoeopathic Medicines contains no such medicinal property that can directly or indirectly produce any sedation, tranquillization or any other adverse effect on body. Infact Homoeopathic Medicines stabilize emotions & improves memory, concentration & other intellectual functions.

Does Homoeopathic treatment increases the problems initially?
No, The fact is patient is suffering from a disease for very longer time, seeks Homoeopathic treatment at the end and by this time he tried out various medications, as a result disease get suppressed. And when Homoeopathic treatment starts we ask the patient to stop other medications, after stopping those medicines the true symptoms of disease reappear which were suppressed otherwise. So there is no need to be afraid. But yes it is true in cases of skin problems; eruptions must flair up as Homoeopathic medicines bring out suppressed toxic discharges from body which in fact causes skin problems to recurs.

Are there any restrictions / precautions when we take Homoeopathic Medication?
Generally we ask the patient to avoid raw onion, raw garlic, very strong smelling items like menthol, camphor, and coffee etc. As coffee and camphor products are having antidoting effect over the entire vegetable kingdom medicines. The latest research advices the diet restrictions according to the blood group of each patients in each disease paves a way for speedy recovery.

Why a Homoeopath needs longer time for consultation of patient?
Any medical consultations, if done honestly require longer time to conclude the diagnosis by asking the patient so many questions related to his illness and its details, his past illnesses, family illness, treatment history and doing general and systemic examinations. A Homoeopath does it very honestly by enquiring about each and every aspect of patient. For which he takes maximum one hour or in very few cases little longer time. I don’t think even one, two or three hours are more to know about a person in detail, because patient spend even more time otherwise for the same purpose by sitting in queue for the carrying out investigations listed by consultants.

Can I take homoeopathic medicines in acute or emergency situations?
Of course!! Homoeopathic drugs are very fast acting. We treat acute problems very effectively with homoeopathy & it show very good results in few hours and sometimes in few minutes!

Is homoeopathy treats the symptoms alone?
Not exactly! In Homoeopathy the clinical diagnosis is not the only basis for prescribing medicines but individual patients’ mental state, behavior, his/her food habits climatic conditions, social economic conditions in treating the patient homeopathically. That is why in two similar well diagnosed cases the homoeopathic medicines may not be the same.

Is Homoeopathy safe for all?
Homoeopathy is ideal for treating babies and children, also can be used safely and effectively in women for Gynecological problems and also during pregnancy, as the remedies are safe, non-toxic and have no harmful side-effects. They are perfectly safe and effective for all age groups. In many countries homoeopathy is accepted as a safe and effective mode of medical treatment. In Britain it has been favored by various members of the Royal Family, and is accepted by the National Health Service. And considering it’s efficacy in treating diseases many countries considering huge grants for it’s development and general awareness programmes.

How should I take homoeopathic remedies?
Tip the pills from the container into the cap and then drop them into the mouth.

Allow tablets to dissolve slowly in the mouth, but do not swallow. (For kids, tablets may be crushed and dissolved in water.)

Keep remedies away from strong smells (e.g. perfume), keep the remedies away from bright light.

Can I take homoeopathic remedies alongside other medicines?

Homoeopathic remedies do not interfere with Allopathic or herbal medicines, or with the contraceptive pill. However, it is necessary to tell doctor during consultation about all ailments and medications.

What is the shelf life of homoeopathic remedies?

If kept away from light and strong smells, homoeopathic remedies last for many years. Accordingly, no expiry date is given.
